Bulldog Bulletin April 6 to 10, 2026

From the Principal’s Desk:  The council met with interested members of the community last night to discuss alternatives to a large play structure for our yard. Some ideas included pergolas, trees, armour stone sitting areas, an outdoor storage shed with play equipment, and outdoor musical equipment. Please reach out to the council at [email protected] if you have any questions.

Thanks to Ms. Greatrex’s class for updating our slideshow in the foyer. It is exciting to see all the learning and fun being had by all! Her class is also leading eco school activities every day. Ms. Moffitt and Mrs. Gunson are running our student leadership team this year, and we are looking forward to seeing all the initiatives they have planned.

I wish everyone a fantastic long weekend!

Safe Arrival system for SCDSB schools –email [email protected] or call 1-888-885-8065 or to report an absence (we recommend using the email system). Parents/guardians are responsible to report a child’s absence/arriving late prior to the start of the school day. Do not wait for the call from the school. Please note: the safe arrival number and email are to be used only to notify the school if your child will be late or absent. It is not for notification of changes in pick up, busing, etc.

On days when buses are cancelled due to inclement weather, the Safe Arrival program continues. For parents/guardians of students who ride the bus on these days, if you receive a call and believe that your child should be in attendance, you are asked to please call the school. Otherwise, the school will assume that you are aware of your child's absence

Families of students who walk to school should call the school if their children are not attending on inclement weather days. If you receive a call and believe that your child should be in attendance, you are asked to please call the school. Otherwise, the school will assume that you are aware of your child's absence.
