Bulldog Bulletin - February 10 to 14, 2025
Term 2 report cards will be sent home on February 14th. “We know that parents have an important role to play in supporting student learning. Studies show that students perform better in school if their parents or guardians are involved in their education.” (Growing Success, p.8) Evaluation is based on the most recent and consistent demonstration of student learning and includes conversations, observations and projects. For some students, therefore, assessment, evaluation, and reporting will be based on modified expectations. Accommodations are provided to all students as needed. Students are encouraged to review their reports with parents and set goals for term 2 that could include improving their learning skills, attendance, or specific subjects. Please reach out to your child(ren)’s teacher(s) if you have any questions or concerns regarding the report card.

Recorders for Ms. Lawrence/Ms. Greatrex/Ms. Thompson/Mr. Monger’s classes
The recorders are coming! The recorders are coming! Your child’s class is going to be doing a unit on learning to play the recorder. This allows them to each learn a new instrument and read notes. We have ordered enough recorders for every student in the above classes. If you would like your child to have their own recorder to bring home once the unit is completed, you can purchase it through schoolcash online for $4 (regular price is $4.99). The recorder is a Carlton Soprano recorder-Baroque and they come with a cleaning rod and a bag and will be labelled with a sticker. Mrs. Lee will keep them at school until the unit is done. Please pop online as soon as possible so we can start next week. Thank you!
Fundraising Dance
We will be having a dance on Friday, February 14th. Not all students have to attend, there will be alternate spaces provided. We will be selling a few items for students to purchase. We will be selling glow bracelets and cookies for $1, Sour keys for $.75, and candy grams and chips for $2. All proceeds will go to purchasing items for calming corners and mental health supports in the classrooms.
You may send cash for these items starting on Tuesday and students will come around to classes to take orders.
