Bulldog Bulletin - February 17 to 21, 2025
Students danced up a storm today at the Valentine’s Glow Dance. Anyone who missed the opportunity to participate will have another chance on Wednesday. Students will also have a chance to purchase the special treats at lunch time. Thank you to Mrs. Sedenger for organizing this fun event! Students will also be enjoying Carnaval on Tuesday with thanks to Mme. Shannon for her organizational prowess. We have received a request from a few local retailers to remind parents not to park in the plaza lots when dropping off children at school. Happy Family Day!

Carnaval de Sunnybrae - Tuesday, February 18th
- Our school is gearing up for an unforgettable event - the upcoming Winter Carnival based on Le Carnaval D’hiver in Quebec City. Tuesday, February 18th we will transform our school yard into a winter wonderland filled with joy, laughter, and festive activities for students in Grades 1-8. (Kindergarten classes will have a winter fun day celebration at a later date. (alternate inclement weather date/buses cancelled is February 19th)
- Please ensure your child is dressed warmly with layers, hats, gloves, snow pants and waterproof boots. Please send extra socks and mittens/gloves. We want everyone to stay cozy and enjoy the festivities to the fullest.
Recorders for Ms. Lawrence/Ms. Greatrex/Ms. Thompson/Mr. Monger’s classes
Your child’s class is going to be doing a unit on learning to play the recorder. This allows them to each learn a new instrument and read notes. We have ordered enough recorders for every student in the above classes. If you would like your child to have their own recorder to bring home once the unit is completed, you can purchase it through schoolcash online for $4 (regular price is $4.99). The recorder is a Carlton Soprano recorder-Baroque and they come with a cleaning rod and a bag and will be labelled with a sticker. Mrs. Lee will keep them at school until the unit is done. Please pop online as soon as possible. Thank you!
