Bulldog Bulletin - January 13-17, 2025
Welcome back! It’s been a cold but great first week back. This week, we learned that we do not have permission to alter the old kitchen (i.e., add plumbing, electrical or venting) in our Strides class to accommodate the Breakfast Club but the SCDSB purchased a new fridge and hot plate for that room. We will add a few more small appliances as needed. The Breakfast Club team will continue to provide nourishing breakfasts for students who arrive at school hungry. We truly appreciate their efforts every morning! Thank you Mrs. Durnford, Mrs. Ferrie and Mr. Sedenger.

Nantyr Shores SS - Grade 8 Open House
The Grade 8 Student and Parent Open House is on Wednesday, January 15th from 6:00-7:30 p.m. at Nantyr. (*16th if buses are cancelled on the15th) Note that there is an additional 'Guidance presentation' on this night starting at 5:30 p.m. (prior to the Open House) as well as one at 6:30 p.m.
EQAO Math Night for Parents and Guardians
Register for this free live webinar to learn from EQAO staff about math problems that Ontario students solve as part of Ontario’s large-scale assessments. All Ontario students write EQAO math assessments in Grades 3, 6 and 9. EQAO staff will demonstrate how these math problems assess the skills students are learning in their mathematics classes in each grade. EQAO staff will also share insights into students’ mathematics learning, as gathered from Ontario’s large-scale assessment results over the past three years. Click here: EQAO hosts webinar series
Popcorn Sales
Popcorn sales are available through schoolcash online for January 14, 21 & 28th (3 weeks) at $2.00 per bag (total cost of $6.00). You must purchase for all 3 weeks. The final date to place your order is January 12, 2025.
Kidney Clothes Fundraiser
Sunnybrae is participating in a Kidney Clothes fundraiser! They accept clothing, towels, blankets, jewelery, and curtains. They can be ripped, stained...any condition. Tell your family, friends, and coworkers. We earn money on every pound. Please do not drop off items before February. The drop off dates are February 7th and 10th from 9:10 to 9:45 am at the front door of the school.
Hot Lunch Program

The weekly deadline to place lunch orders for the upcoming week is Sunday at 12:00PM; Lunchbox is unable to accept any orders after this deadline.

If you need to make any updates or changes to your lunch orders, please do so before Sunday at 12:00PM for the upcoming week.

If there is a school closure/buses are cancelled, lunches (both subs and pizza) will be cancelled, and a credit will be issued to your Lunchbox account within 3 business days.
