From the Principal’s Desk: What a beautiful week! Summer is coming! Our 6s completed the EQAO, the 3s participated in Swim to Survive at the YMCA, and the kindergarten students had the chance to meet some amazing critters with a visit from Speaking of Wildlife. Wednesday night is our annual Fun Fair which is always a wonderful chance to get together as a community. Hope to see everyone there!

Fun Fair June 10th
The 5th Annual Sunnybrae Fun Fair Fundraiser will be held on Wednesday June 10th, from 5-8pm! Come and see the schoolyard transformed into a carnival of delights! We will have THREE inflatable obstacle courses, face painting, balloon animals, footraces for prizes, a Silent Auction and vendor market and BBQ tent and concessions and MORE!
Free entry for all, but Fun Fair activities/food (popcorn, soft drinks, freezies, treats etc) must be paid for with tickets. The tickets are available through SchoolCash Online in advance, or you can purchase at the gate. There is a $5 discount on 25 tickets purchased through SchoolCash in advance! Tickets at the event will be sold for $1 each.
Available to purchase in advance through SchoolCash (please purchase by June 8th):
- $5 Hamburger ticket
- $5 Hot Dog ticket
- $10 for 10 tickets
- $20 for 25 tickets
All tickets sold in advance will be bundled together per family, and available for pickup at the Fun Fair in a special Express Line at the Sunnybrae Avenue playground entrance.
We will also have food trucks and other vendors at the Fun Fair, who charge regular money :) Vendors will have limited internet access, so please consider bringing cash for purchases (including Silent Auction wins).
*Please remember that pets are not permitted on school grounds, including during the Fun Fair*

Scholastic Book Fair
Our Scholastic Book Fair will run from Monday, June 8th to Thursday, June 11th in the library. Families are also invited to visit during the Family Fun Fair evening!
Summer reading is so important for helping students continue building strong literacy skills and a love of reading. Every purchase from the Book Fair helps support our library by providing new books and learning materials for students' enjoyment.

Zone B Regional Track & Field Meet - Wednesday, June 10th (raindate June 12th)
ATTENTION Regional Track & Field participants:
- There will be a FULL CLOSURE of a portion of Mapleview Drive between Yonge St. and Prince William Way, which will directly affect our Regional meet scheduled for June 10th. The school itself is still fully accessible but there will be detours necessary so please plan accordingly to ensure that your athlete arrives on time.

- If coming from south of Mapleview Drive, your best route will be to take the 20th sideroad north and then go west on Mapleview Drive to reach the school. If coming from north of Mapleview Drive, you can take Big Bay Point Road to Prince William Way.
- All students should have a hard copy of the event schedule. Please note that start times listed on the schedule are an approximation only, and events WILL start early whenever possible. It is the responsibility of the athlete to ensure that they do not miss their event(s). All participants have been coached to arrive at their event location at least 20 minutes early to warm up.

Hot Lunch Program

- For any order cancellations, please notify lunchbox 2 days prior to the delivery date. Lunches will not be kept for students who are absent on the day of the lunch.
- If there is a school closure, lunches will be cancelled, and a credit will be issued to your Lunchbox account within 3 business days.
