All Too Swiftie: Sunnybrae’s Version (We have extended the sign up to Monday, Nov. 4th)

Come on out and join us for a night of fun and all things Swift! Sunnybrae is opening its doors for a Taylor Swift themed arts and crafts night as a way to get us amped up and ready for the arrival of Taylor’s Eras Tour in Toronto in November! We can’t wait to have our fellow Swifties join us to celebrate our love of Taylor’s music and enjoy a night out to bond with one another in the spirit of joy and friendship!

  • When: Wednesday, November 6th from 5:30-7pm
  • Where: Sunnybrae Public School Gymnasium
  • Cost: $10 per student (to cover supplies)
  • Where to register: SchoolCash Online
  • Registration Deadline: Monday, November 4th at 3:00 pm *LIMITED SPACES*

In order to ensure we have enough supplies, get participants through the stations and adhere to the fire code, we will have to limit the number of attendees. Please be sure to register sooner rather than later to secure a spot. Registration is confirmed upon receipt of payment.

Note: This is meant to be a parent/guardian and student event where adults can help their student(s) and they will all be able to have fun and socialize while enjoying a Taylor Swift themed night out with other members of our Sunnybrae community.

Inclement weather and bus cancellation information reminder

All information regarding canceled buses in Simcoe County is posted on the Simcoe County Student Transportation Consortium (SCSTC)’s bus information website at www.simcoecountyschoolbus.ca. Our school is in the central zone. When buses are canceled, schools remain open for student learning, unless otherwise noted. School staff are expected to plan for such emergencies in order to transition students who are unable to attend due to inclement weather to their online platforms (Google Classroom and/or SCDSBhub [Brightspace by D2L]) and continue with academic programming. It is always a family decision whether or not it is safe for their child(ren) to leave for school under severe weather conditions.

The Consortium and bus operators try to make the decision to cancel school buses before 6am and make every effort to post announcements before 7 a.m. Inclement weather cancellations are effective for the whole day and buses canceled in the morning will not run at the end of the day. You can follow the Consortium on Twitter @SCSTC_SchoolBus for bus cancellations and other information. You can also subscribe to receive bus delay notifications here: scstc.ca/Subscriptions/Login.aspx.

Safe Arrival system for SCDSB schools – call 1-888-885-8065 or email [email protected] to report an absence. Parents/guardians are responsible to report a child’s absence/arriving late prior to the start of the school day. Do not wait for the call from the school.
