Bulldog Bulletin October 20 to 24, 2025 

 

Principal’s Message: Fast and furious describes our Cross Country and Primary Fun Run teams, both of which competed this week for running gloryWe have 11 runners moving on to the Regionals at Mount St. Louis next week. Our primary runners gave it their all at the SCDSB Board office in Midhurst this morning and represented our school proudly. We have some clubs starting up soon as well, including a trading card game club, drama club, chess club, and a Lego club. 

 

This Week  

  • October 20th: Flag football regional tournament
  • October 22nd: Regional cross-country event
  • October 24th: PA Day – No school for students

 

Coming Up  

  • November 3rd: School Council Meeting at 5:30 pm in the school library
  • November 4th: Grade 8 transition trip to Nantyr Shores SS
  • November 5th: Picture Day

 

Sharing Information  

  • Tryouts for the Junior boys' volleyball team will begin October 21st. Tryouts will take place during the school day and students wanting to try out must have proper footwear to participate. We encourage all interested students to participate and showcase their skills. Parents and guardians are reminded to review the Ophea safety requirements ahead of tryouts to stay informed about any associated risks and help ensure a safe and positive experience for all. We are excited to offer this opportunity for students to get involved, build team spirit, and showcase their talents.

Hot Lunch Program Reminders  

  • For any order cancellations, please notify us 2 days prior to the delivery date.
  • If there is a school closure, lunches will be cancelled, and a credit will be issued to your Lunchbox account within 3 business days.

Parents/guardians are responsible to report a child’s absence/arriving late prior to the start of the school day. Do not wait for the call from the school. Please note: the safe arrival number and email are to be used only to notify the school if your child will be late or absent. It is not for notification of changes in pick up, busing, etc.
