From the Principal’s Desk:  What an amazing start to the school year! This we are sure will set us up for an awesome school year.  We’d like to take a moment to thank Mrs. Hunter and Ms. McKay for everything they do organizing and ensuring every day goes off without a hitch and Mrs. Nichols and Mrs. Cloutier who worked tirelessly all summer to clean and prepare the school for the year. The building looks amazing!  We also want to thank our awesome staff for their hard work in preparing and supporting learning and growth each day.  

We do want to draw your attention to the SM App, shared below. This is a fantastic communication tool that allows you to receive direct communication from the school, instead of sorting through your email. This will ensure you receive timely communication from our office and not miss any important happenings or events.

  • September 22nd: Barrie Colts Assembly  

  • Sept. 22nd: School Council elections in the School Library at 5PM (nomination forms due by September 21 @ 4PM) *Please note this is a change in dates from what we originally published. Nomination forms are available through schoolcash or a copy can be obtained through the school office. 

  • Sept 24th: Terry Fox Run (Stay tuned for information on Terry Fox T-shirts and Toonies for Terry) 

  • Sept. 29th: Elementary Turn Around Day 

  • Sept. 30th: Orange Shirt Day/Day of Truth and Reconciliation 

  • Oct. 1st: Meet the Staff 4:30 to 6:00 pm (More info coming shortly) 

  • Oct 5th Council Meeting at 5:30 PM in the school library 

  • Octo 8th: 7-10PM Colts Night! Our Choir is signing! (We will let you know when tickets go on sale) 

  • Oct 16th: Primary Fun Run

  • At the bottom of the screen, select Attendance, then Report an Absence.

Phone  

  • Call 1-833-275-6699 (toll-free) and follow the prompts to report an absence.  

 

Unfortunately, the system does not support calling in students who will be late or only off for part of the day.  Please choose the full day option and we will adjust their absence once they sign in at the office.
