Yard Sale (April 28th)-Vendors Wanted
DATE: Sunday, April 28, 2024
TIME: 10am- 2pm
LOCATION: Stroud Community Centre Arena , 7883 Yonge St.
- Give your unwanted items a second chance at love at our First Ever Sunnybrae Community Yard Sale, to be held at the Stroud Community Centre Arena parking lot!
- For a $20 fee, rent a space (two adjacent parking spots) to sell ANYTHING you want, for ANY PRICE! All money raised at your table is yours to keep! Vendors will need to bring their own table if needed.
- If you have items to get rid of but don’t want the bother of selling, you can DONATE them to our Sunnybrae Yard Sale Table! All money raised at this table will go towards much-needed technology at Sunnybrae Public School. No clothing, stuffed toys, or heavy furniture at the donation table, please.
Fundraising Message from Parent Council
Parent council would like to shout out to our amazing school families! We have had some very successful fundraisers, thanks to YOU! The Big Box fundraiser raised just over $700 for technology! We were just shy of our goal, but still very thankful for the support. Our little school still needs your help! The teachers and students rely on using Chromebooks, and there are currently only enough for 4 classes at a time. Even though our fundraiser is done, we are still (and always) looking for donations. If you are interested in donating, you can do so through school cash online. All donations over $20.00 can be claimed on your taxes. Thank you again for your continued support! The students and parent council appreciate it.
Book Fair
Attention book lovers! Our Spring Scholastic Book Fair is quickly approaching! We will be open to students only from May 8th - 10th during regular school hours. Proceeds from all sales support our Sunnybrae students' love of reading. We look forward to seeing your child(ren) at the book fair. Thank you for your ongoing support and happy spring!
Tour for Humanity Student Workshops
The innovative, award-winning Tour for Humanity will be visiting Sunnybrae on April 22nd (grades 6-8) and May 3rd (grades 3-5). The Tour for Humanity is a 30-seat, wheelchair accessible, mobile human rights education centre designed to bring The Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Center's programming directly to students and educators across Canada. The program incorporates multimedia to provide students with a rich and interactive learning experience. The students will be undertaking equity and diversity workshops for approximately one hour on the above mentioned days. We are looking forward to an enlightening experience! Student cost is $6 per person.
