Principal’s Message: Class building will begin next week. This year, we are not able to entertain requests due to the limited number of classes for each grade. A private google classroom link will be shared with the families of the students who performed in the Tangled Web play this week so families can watch at their leisure.

Jump Rope for Heart
Jump Rope for Heart is an event nobody wants to skip! On Thursday, June 6th (rain date to be determined) students will be outside participating in jump rope activities in an effort to raise funds for the Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation. Donations are welcome! No donation is too small - every little bit helps to make a difference! Book Swap
The library is once again hosting a summer book swap. Students are invited to bring in slightly used or new books to donate. Donations are now being accepted and are due no later than Monday, June 10th. Students who donate a book(s) will be invited to the library from Monday, June 10th to Thursday, June 13th to pick out a new-to-them book to keep and read over the summer.
Raise The Dough with Refs Pizza
The weather is getting warmer and it’s time to PUMP UP THE FUN! At the end of May, Sunnybrae will be partnering with Ref’s Pizza in Stroud to RAISE THE DOUGH!! On Tuesday May 28 AND Wednesday May 29, get your friends, family, and neighbours to call Ref’s Stroud location and mention SUNNYBRAE PUBLIC SCHOOL when ordering ANY FOOD for pick-up!!
Please consider PRE-ORDERING your pizza for Tuesday or Wednesday (or hey, both days!) with the team at Ref’s to ensure your family’s hungry bellies are prioritised at the time that suits you best! Call 705-294-8844 and don’t forget to mention SUNNYBRAE’S RAISE THE DOUGH event when you place your pick-up order to donate a portion of the cost to our school!
Fun Fair
The Fun Fair is less than three weeks away, and the Parent Council is looking for some VOLUNTEERS to help make the day another huge success!
- If you can help SET UP on Wednesday June 12 (3-5 pm), STAFF a booth or activity (5-8pm) or help with CLEAN-UP (8-9pm), please get in touch with our Sunnybrae Parent Council Chairperson at [email protected] and let us know! NO police check needed, just a positive attitude and a desire to be a part of our hardworking team! The more people we have helping out, the shorter each person’s working shift can be, which means that more of our volunteers can have a chance to spend time with their family at the event!
- If you can’t help out on the day, maybe you can loan us a piece of equipment! We are looking for COOLERS and POP-UP CANOPIES to use on the day (please label your cooler and BOTH your canopy AND its bag so we can return all your equipment quickly and in good order!)
- Finally, if you or your workplace can contribute to our Silent Auction with an item, a gift card, or a cash donation to the school, please get in touch! All our donors will be listed and thanked for their contribution, whatever the size!
