Message from the Principal: This morning, the South Simcoe Police asked us to initiate a hold and secure as they were investigating a situation in the neighbourhood. Students and staff were brought inside before the first bell and resumed normal activities within the building. It is important to know that during a hold and secure, we cannot allow people to enter or exit the building as per emergency protocols. This policy includes the need to leave for appointments. If you are dropping your child off during a hold and secure, there will be a sign on all exterior doors notifying visitors that no one may enter or exit the building at this time. Please take your child home until the hold and secure is lifted if you arrive during a hold and secure. In these situations, an email will be sent out to our school community through messenger and on X as soon as information is available. Thank you for your support.

Grade 8 Trivia Night Fundraiser
Welcome to Trivia Night, where knowledge meets fun! Join us for an evening packed with brain-teasing questions, laughter, and friendly competition. Sharpen your wits, gather your friends, and let's embark on a journey of curiosity together. Get ready to unleash your inner trivia champion!
- Thursday, January 25th from 6:00-8:00pm the Grade 8 team are hosting a Trivia Night to fundraise for the Grade 8 Trip to Ottawa.
- There will be light refreshments offered. Spots are limited and payment secures your spot.
- Cost: $10 per person - must pay using the QR Code in the attached flyer (no cash payments accepted)
- Register By: Jan. 22 at 8:00pm
- Location: Sunnybrae Library. Come on out and have some fun while testing your trivia knowledge!
- *No minimum team size, however, a maximum of 6 players per team*
Barrie Colts Night-Thursday, March 7th at 7:00 pm
Sunnybrae School Council is having a fundraiser with the Barrie Colts Hockey Team. Have a night out enjoying a Barrie Colts game on Thursday, March 7th, 2024, at 7:00 pm at the Sadlon Arena on Mapleview Drive in Barrie.
- Tickets are $25.00 each (for over 2 years of age) and up to $6.00 from each ticket sold will be donated back to Sunnybrae PS (amount received depends on # of tickets sold).
- All proceeds will go towards athletics.
- Tickets must be purchased through schoolcash online and will be sent home with your child by March 5th, 2023.
- If you prefer to pick up your tickets you must inform the school office.
- The last day to purchase tickets is Feb 25th.

- 25% of your purchase will go towards funding the Grade 8 trip to Ottawa
