Movie Night: Mark your calendars, Bulldogs - we will be having another Movie Night in the gym on Friday, April 21st. Drop off your children at the front door of the school at 6:00 pm, pickup is at 8:30pm (time change). Cost will be $10 per child, and includes popcorn and a drink. We will be showing Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (rated PG). Children are welcome to wear their PJs and bring a comfy blanket or pillow and a reusable water bottle. This night is for Sunnybrae PS students only. Payment must be made in advance through school cash online by April 19th.
Terry Fox TShirts 2023: The 2023 Terry Fox Run shirt design was designed together with input from Ryan Reynolds and the Fox Family. This year’s limited-edition shirt celebrates how Terry’s story and legacy continues to inspire people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities in Canada and beyond. Featuring a diverse mix of messages Terry and his family received both past and present, the shirt is fully bilingual and acts as a wonderful wearable time capsule of Terry’s Marathon of Hope. The shirts are produced by adidas and available in a variety of sizes and styles ranging from $20 (youth), to $25 (adult) for the short sleeve shirt. All proceeds support cancer research in Canada.
Due to the high demand for the t-shirts the foundation is recommending orders for September be placed by June in case they run out. Sunnybrae PS will be placing an order for families who place an order through schoolcash online. Orders are due by Friday May 5th and will be sent home with your child.

Ultimate Steps Dance Program: Ultimate Steps Dance Studio will provide dance instruction with classes starting April 3rd. All students in grade 1 to 8 classes are participating. To cover the cost of having the dance studio do this instruction we are asking students to pay $12.00. Length of Program: 4 sessions at 50 minutes during class gym time Class Routine: Each class will begin with a warm up focusing on cardio, strength, body isolations and flexibility. While learning a dance routine (Style: Jazz and Hip Hop) the students will use muscle memory, teamwork and performance skills.
Safe Connections: Navigating a Digital World: On April 25, the SCDSB’s Parent Involvement Committee (PIC) is hosting a virtual learning session for parents/guardians focusing on digital mindfulness and well-being in internet safety.

Covid Screening: All students and staff are encouraged to complete the daily COVID-19 self-assessment screening tool
prior to entering SCDSB schools and buildings and follow the direction of the screening tool. We have some RA Test kits here at the school.
