Scholastic Book Fair:  The Scholastic Spring Book Fair starts this coming Wednesday and runs until 10am on Monday, May 15. The sale in the library is only open to students during school hours however, students and families may shop online at this address:  https://virtualbookfairs.scholastic.ca/pages/5203850 Happy shopping and thank you for your support!

 

Card Making Fundraiser:  Tuesday, May 9th, 6:00 to 8:00 pm in the school library.  Cost is $7.00

Do you have a special someone that you would like to make a card for?  You can make a card to celebrate a mother, father, grandparent, caregiver or anyone else your child would like to appreciate, recognize or send love to!

Each child will be making one personalised card using card making materials and can also make a craft flower bouquet.

Children will need to be accompanied by an adult during the card making.  All proceeds will go towards supporting our athletics. Please register through school cash online by Monday, May 8th. https://www.schoolcashonline.com/ 

 

Book Swap:  Our summer book swap is quickly approaching!  Students are invited to donate gently used books during the month of May and early June. Then, on June 12th to 15th, students who brought in a book, will be able to come and pick a “new to them” book to read over the summer.  Any leftover books will be donated to Sunnybrae classrooms.  Let’s get reusing bulldogs and help reduce waste!  Thank you!

 

Gr. 5 Environmental Program with Nantyr SS Enviro Group:  Grade 5 students will travel by school bus to Innisfil Central to participate in an environmental program led by Nantyr Enviro Program. Students will learn in/for/about the environment through games, hands-on explorations and will learn about conservation of natural resources.  Date & Time: May 18, 2023, 9:45 am to 2:20 pm  Cost is $16.00 per student for the program and busing.  Permission and payment for this event is available through school cash online.  If you have any questions please contact your child’s teacher.

 

Tree Planting Volunteering Opportunities:  The Nottawasaga Valley Conservation Authority has shared the dates and locations of all tree-planting events in preparation for the planting season. Covid Screening:  All students and staff are encouraged to complete the daily COVID-19 self-assessment screening tool 

prior to entering SCDSB schools and buildings and follow the direction of the screening tool. We have some RA Test kits here at the school.
